Manuel Ammann is Professor of Finance at the University of St.Gallen and Director of the Swiss Institute of Banking and Finance. He held visiting positions at New York University and the University of California at Berkeley and holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of St. Gallen and an M.Sc. in Computing Science from Simon Fraser University, Canada. Manuel Ammann is the academic director of the University of St.Gallen’s Master program in Banking and Finance and is a member of the board of directors of several university institutes. He also served as Dean of the School of Finance at the University of St. Gallen.
Manuel Ammann’s main research interests are in the areas of derivative securities, asset pricing, portfolio management, financial markets, and risk management. He authored numerous scholarly publications and has served as a consultant to financial institutions and government agencies. He is a member of the board of directors of St. Galler Kantonalbank and chairman of the board of Algofin AG and Neue Bank AG.
